Salmon River Fishing Report 9/19

Weather: High of 70 with a low of 50 degrees. Partly cloudy. Winds NNW 5-10 MPH. 71% humidity.

So we are seeing quite a few fish up here at the top of the river. Lower fly zone has steadily been showing fish. They are being a little tricky to hook though. They seem to not want to stop for anything. Anglers have reported good numbers of fish in the schoolhouse as well as the trestle.

Reports are coming from the lower end of the river that fresh kings and cohos are on their way in. Movement in the estuary last night was good. Safe to say the fish are on their way. The river temp has dropped down to 61 degrees!!
